1. WHAT ARE THE THINGS I SHOULD CONSIDER WHEN CHOOSING AN AIR CONDITIONER?

    • Choose the right air conditioner by calculating your room's size (Length x Width) for accurate cooling capacity. Refer to the table for the ideal match, ensuring optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • After determining the size, you may now select the type of air conditioner (Window Type or Split Type) depending on your budget and cooling requirement. You may also choose between a regular or inverter type air conditioner. Note: Air conditioners should not be undersized or oversized. Any service or maintenance should be done only at Kolin authorized service centers.

3. WHAT IS AN INVERTER AIR CONDITIONER AND ITS ADVANTAGES?

  • One of the primary advantages of inverter air conditioners is their energy efficiency, which allows consumers to save more on energy costs and can cool a room more quickly than a non-inverter air conditioner.

  • Full DC inverters, with three technologies - indoor fan, compressor, and outdoor fan, use less energy due to variable speeds, offering better efficiency and potential savings on electricity bills compared to regular inverters.

  • A higher CSPF rating indicates a more energy-efficient air conditioning system, meaning it can provide more cooling while consuming less electricity, in reference to the Department of Energy's Philippine Energy Labeling Program (DOE-PELP) for air conditioners.

6. HOW CAN I SAVE ENERGY WHEN USING MY AIR CONDITIONER?

  • Optimize your air conditioner settings to 23-25°C for comfort and energy efficiency. Clean the filter every two weeks, and schedule maintenance every six months.
  • Insulate your space and close all windows, curtains and doors while using the air conditioner.
Note: Choose the right size: Undersized units struggle to cool effectively, while oversized units lead to short cycles and higher energy consumption.

  • Dry Mode: Reduces humidity without a significant temperature drop. Note: The availability of these modes can vary depending on your air conditioner's model, so it's always a good idea to refer to the user manual for accurate usage guidelines.

  • The EWPE App, on Play Store (Android) and App Store (iOS), controls Kolin air conditioners with smart controllers applicable on EWPE app. You can control the setting temperature and other functions anytime and anywhere.
  • The EWPE App is a downloadable application available at the Play Store for Android and the App Store for iOS that is used to control the settings of the Primus Gold and Quad Series smart controllers.
  • Using the EWPE App offers you several functions, some of which are managing the temperature, setting the timer, turning on or off the Primus Gold and Quad Series and other useful actions that you can easily control anytime and anywhere, even when you're away.

10. HOW OFTEN SHOULD I HAVE MY AIR CONDITIONER CLEANED?

  • Clean the aircon filters once every two weeks. Refer to your user’s manual for details on how to properly clean your air filter.
  • Have your air conditioner cleaned by a Kolin service technician every 6 months.
  • Keeping your unit clean can help in maximizing your unit’s performance, saving energy consumption and increasing the lifespan of your unit.

11. HOW DO I MAINTAIN MY AIR CONDITIONER IN BEST CONDITION?

  • Regular maintenance is essential for optimal performance. This includes cleaning of filters once every two weeks. Refer to your user’s manual for specific maintenance guidelines on how to properly clean your air filter.

12. WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AIR PURIFIER AND DEHUMIDIFIER?

Dehumidifiers, on the other hand, remove excess moisture from the air in times of high humidity and eliminate the growth of mold, mildew and dust mites.
